CapRock to Launch Custom CommandAccess™ Satellite Network for Yahsat

Company Signs Agreement for Managed Communications Services

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA – July 13, 2010

CapRock Communications announced today it has signed a contract with Yahsat’s wholly owned subsidiary, Star Satellite Communications Company PrJsc, to provide custom voice, video and data communications services to clients in the Middle East and Southwest Asia.

CapRock will provide the design, equipment installation and management of a private, custom satellite service built on its CommandAccess™ network, which was launched in December 2009 by the company’s government division. As part of the managed service, remote terminals will be deployed in key areas of operation across the Middle East and Southwest Asia. The network is expected to grow over the course of the two-year contract.

“Working together with Yahsat, we are expanding the reach of highly reliable satellite communications to customers in remote areas of the Middle East and Southwest Asia who previously had few options,” said CapRock Government Solutions EVP and General Manager, David Myers. “By leveraging the CommandAccess network, Yahsat’s customers will benefit from field-proven capabilities that are specifically designed to meet extreme environmental conditions.”

“The addition of CapRock’s CommandAccess services to YahService, a business division of Yahsat responsible for the integrated satellite communication solutions business, will enable us to offer our customers a unique network solution as well as outstanding service and support. This is in line with our strategy to work with the right partners to acquire the latest satellite technologies to deliver complete solutions to a wide range of clients in enterprise, military and government sectors. We look forward to working closely with CapRock,” said Rashed Al Ghafri, General Manager of YahService.

CommandAccess is the industry’s first commercial satellite subscription service designed for use in remote areas of operation. The suite of pre-packaged and customized communications services connects very small aperture terminals (VSATs) to the Internet, public switched telephone service, and secure networks. Service is available in several packages and data rates, each for a flat monthly fee on a per terminal basis. CapRock currently has customers using CommandAccess in several regions of the world and across all of its networks, including, Ku, X, and C-band satellites.
